Paige’s Prattle began on a whim because someone commented I should have a blog. I had no idea what I was doing, had no clue how to even start a blog and seriously wondered why anyone would want to read things that I thought.
Several years later I have a following, of sorts. I’m on Twitter and Facebook as well as Google+. The site started as “Ramblings from my mind and my mouth”; but lately has been much more of a serious blog directed at the intricacies of the City of Redmond’s council, political processes, the school district’s bond issues and other things that just confuse, frustrate and anger me.
Some people find the name “Prattle” undignified; the word means to chatter in an inconsequential way. Synonyms describe it a bit better “talk, gossip, chatter, speak, converse”. This has always been a place to get the words from my head onto the page and hope that someone, somewhere will read them and either think about things in a different way, agree with me or disagree with me.
I’m still not sure why people want to read what I write. But I’ll continue to put it down so that others can read it; even if it’s just me and the internet.
